Ravens Flight Equestrian was established after relocating from Montana to North Pole, Alaska, with a vision of creating a year-round equine-assisted program centered on healing, personal growth, and community connection.

We are dedicated to providing equine-assisted services and structured riding opportunities for veterans, children, and adults in a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment. Through meaningful human–horse interaction, these experiences are designed to foster emotional regulation, confidence, resilience, and connection.

In addition to therapeutic programming, Ravens Flight is developing community-centered offerings including pony and horse events, summer camps, riding lessons, clinics, and an equine-focused library with educational resources in horsemanship and horse care.

Serving the Fairbanks North Star Borough and communities across Interior Alaska, Ravens Flight is committed to expanding access to equine-assisted experiences that strengthen individuals, families, and communities alike.

 Maria is the founder and executive director of Ravens Flight Equestrian, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering healing, connection, and resilience through the human–horse bond.

With more than 30 years in healthcare and a deep commitment to service, Maria established Ravens Flight to support veterans, seniors, children, and individuals across Alaska seeking confidence, emotional wellness, and meaningful connection.

Inspired by the journey of her rescue miniature horse, Caspian, her work is grounded in compassion, second chances, and the belief that healing often begins through relationship.

Through Ravens Flight, Maria is building a year-round equine-assisted program rooted in community, hope, and access to healing in Alaska’s Interior.
